Field Day to Examine Natasha Watermelon in Homs

On August 25, 2020, Debbane & Co held a field day organized by colleagues Diaa Hammoud, Sulayman El-Hassan, Diab Razzouk, Hanna Haddad and Zuhair Al-Sitt, in Al-Damina Al-Sharqiya area in Homs. The event was organized in farmer Faraj Kardouh’s field, which is planted with watermelon of the Natasha variety. The field day hosted 10 distributors from different agricultural hubs in rural Homs and was attended by a prominent fruit and vegetable trader from Souq Al Hal in Homs. During the field day, experts explained the field farming in detail and talked at length about the specifications of Natasha watermelon, before which a tour was conducted to inspect, in practical terms, the plants and their specifications.

Following the field day, a detailed lecture was given to explain the specifities of our varieties which are of relevance to rural Homs. Lunch was later served at the corporate office in Homs- Kafr Aya.
