Brief Field Day at the Akkar Trial Station/ Syria

On 9/10/2020, Debbaneh & Co organized a brief field day to examine the varieties of autumn cucumbers at the Akkar Trial Station. Approximately 17 distributors and farmers participated in the activity in the presence of a number of engineers at the company.

A tour of the station was conducted, with a focus on the varieties of autumn cucumbers. Eng. Nour Haidari explained the specifications of the two new cucumber varieties, Julia and Hannibal, focusing on their high bearing, viability and good branching. Emphasis was also placed on the resistance of the Julia variety to the downy mildew, and of the Hannibal variety to the mosaic virus.
