Students of the Faculty of Agriculture Visit Aleppo Office

On June 10, 2021, Debbane & Co. welcomed in Aleppo office a number of doctors and students from Aleppo University, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Plant Protection Department, taking into account all protective Covid-19 measures. Among the attendees were Dr. Mohammad Abu Shaar, Head of Plant Protection Department, Dr. Mahmoud Al Ali, Dr. Alaa Abdul-Ghani, Dr. Houssam Abido, Dr. Marwan Al-Hassan and Professor Taher Chalabi, in addition to a number of fourth and fifth year students majoring in Plant Protection.

Al-Hassan Sayegh introduced the attendees to the company, its values and history, as well as the most important suppliers from which the company imports medicines and agricultural supplies, such as fertilizers, pesticides, seeds and irrigation networks.

Engineer Muhannad Dandal also introduced them to the products used by the company, mainly those of interest to students majoring in Plant Protection. The products ranged from biological materials (NovoSafe, Novo Treat, Celtac, Trainer, Alga 600, Scudo) to pesticides (Envidor, Infinito, Collis, Velum Prime, Folicur, Fastac, Debco Foss, Debco Stack, Debco Super, Flint, Previcur), herbicides (Atlantis, Debco Up) and Debco vegetable oil. Al-Hassan Sayegh also introduced them to weather stations and the important and necessary indicators they provide for farmers, such as anticipating over 50 diseases and insects, monitoring and forecasting early frosts. He then introduced them to micro-sprays and the control and fertilization program that was developed by Dabbane & Co. specific to potatoes, pistachios and olives, before displaying introductory videos on agricultural materials the experiments that have been carried out in farmers’ fields, as well as the important results concluded.
