From the Fields of Raqqa
Getting to Know “Farah” Zucchini

On April 22, 2026, farmers and distributors from Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor gathered for a field day organized by Debbane & Co. in collaboration with Al-Karmo Agricultural Center, under the sponsorship of distributor Hassan Al-Haji. The focus was simple: a firsthand look at the zucchini variety “Farah.”

In Abu Hussein’s Field

The centerpiece of the day was a visit to the farm of Abu Hussein, where attendees saw the variety growing in real conditions rather than on a presentation slide. The company’s technical team walked farmers through the best agronomic practices for Farah, covering irrigation and fertilization systems, integrated pest management, and tunnel cultivation techniques.

What sets Farah apart is not one single quality but a combination that works together: high productivity, excellent fruit quality, good resistance to diseases and pests, the ability to adapt to early season cultivation, and a long harvest window that gives farmers real flexibility at market.

Honest Discussion, Real Conviction

Open discussion sessions gave farmers space to share their own experiences and ask direct questions, with practical answers from the technical team on hand. This kind of direct exchange builds confidence in a new variety far more effectively than any brochure.

Attendees left with a clear positive impression of Farah and an equally clear desire to see more field days like this one. That, in itself, says everything.
