Planting Trees for a Better Climate

In cooperation with Debbane and Co., the Ministry of Agriculture has launched an afforestation campaign under the slogan “Planting Trees for a better Climate” on the Airport Road.

The campaign aimed at planting 1500 forest plants (dole, Aleppo pine, acacia, and palms) over an area of 4 hectares, as part of the afforestation campaigns that the Ministry conducts annually.

Given its role as an agricultural company, Debbane & Co. is committed to providing agricultural services and solutions, as well as to lead a positive role and be involved in social or environmental activities, expressed Eng. Zuhair Al-Sit, Technical Director at Debbane & Co. He also added during the campaign that this initiative is a beautiful response to this environment that is our home, while stressing the importance of preserving the beautiful Syrian environment and looking after it.

Eng. Ousama Issa called upon everyone who can contribute to afforestation to help restore the green cover, stating that the company constantly encourages and helps improving the country’s environment.
