Symposium on Grapes in Homs Governorate

On November 24 and 25, 2021, Debbaneh & Co. Technical Department in Syria held a symposium on grapes in Homs Governorate, Zaidal, entitled “How to Raise and Look After Grape Trees”. The symposium was attended by a group of Agricultural Engineers Syndicate in Homs, in addition to agent distributors in the governorate and a large number of farmers from Maskana, Jdeidet Al Sharqiah, Zaidal, Fairuzah, Sukkrah and Al Zahouriya.

The symposium was interactive and focused on the correct breeding methods specific for grapes and how to look after them, including fertilization and control. New varieties of vine worldwide were also discussed.
On the next day, a demonstration was conducted in Jdeidet Al Sharqiah and Zaidal. The purpose of this demonstration was to carry out proper trees pruning before farmer and to teach them the most common mistakes made by farmers.
